Saturday Night Live Lines Up Anne Hathaway And Jeremy Renner To Host
NBC showed a rerun of Saturday Night Live last week, but the good news is, comedian Louis C.K. is set to host this Saturday's episode. And there won't be another gap in the next few weeks as the long-running sketch comedy series has lined up two more hosts to take the spotlight in the coming weeks. Jeremy Renner and Anne Hathaway are both set to host SNL this month.
NBC announced this week that Anne Hathaway will host Saturday Night Live on November 10, with musical guest Rihanna. This marks the third time Hathaway will host SNL, and the fourth time Rihanna will perform. Hathaway's been busy this year, with her role as Selina in The Dark Knight Rises and a return to The Simpsons for a voice-role. And she'll be showing off her vocal skills even more in her part as Fantine in the upcoming feature adaptation of the Broadway musical Les Miserables, which is due out next month. Singing seems to be a recurring theme on SNL this season, with numerous hosts kicking off their episode with a song in the opening monologue. Perhaps SNL will make good use of Hathaway's vocal abilities during her episode.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner's star continues to rise these days. Between The Bourne Legacy and The Avengers, 2012 is a good year to be Renner and there's only more on the horizon, with Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters coming up and rumored sequels for The Avengures and Mission Impossible. Better known for drama and action, SNL should give him a chance to show off his sense of humor. It'll be interesting to see how he does when he hosts SNL on November 17. Maroon 5 is the musical guest for that week. This will be the groups fourth turn at performing on the series.
In the meantime, we have Louis C.K. to look forward to this Saturday. Watch the promo for that episode here!
