Saturday Night Live Preview: Zooey Deschanel Catches Jazz Hands From Kenan Thompson

Zooey Deschanel will make her SNL hosting debut this Saturday night. I guess you could say she’s the new girl on the set. I can’t even take credit (or blame) for that joke. That one’s all Kenan Thompson’s, as featured in the promo for this weekend’s episode.

The promos below, which feature Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson and this week’s host, New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, have a little of everything. Want some jazz hands? How about a little bit of singing? Want to learn some interesting “fun facts” for Black History Month? Whether or not any of these things make it into Saturday’s episode remains to be seen. They did make it into the promos in the video below. Watch and enjoy!



“Quirky” and “Cute” are likely to be fair descriptions of Deschanel. It’ll be interesting to see how the sketch comedy series uses that this Saturday night. She’s also especially musically gifted. I doubt I’m alone in hoping we get to hear her sing at some point (maybe in the opening monologue?)
