Scott Rosenbaum On Board To Write FX's Port Royal Pilot

Many of us have only seen pirate-filled Port Royal through the lens of a certain Disney franchise, but we’re about to be privy to a whole new Port Royal spectrum, thanks to an agreement between FX, GK-TV, and Fox International. FX recently announced it was set to weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen on a new hour-long drama about the pirate port.

Last we heard, Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd put together the concept. Now, Scott Rosenbaum is set to write the pilot for the new show. Rosenbaum has worked on such shows as Chuck, V, and The Shield. Port Royal looks to be his first foray into historical TV. According to THR, Rosenbaum's work will feature pirates, corrupt politicians, and ruthless merchants.

Sounds extensive. I’m sure Rosenbaum, who single-handedly pitched to bring V back for its second season, will be up to the challenge.
