Slumdog Millionaire Star Cast In Season 8 Of 24

I haven’t gotten to see Slumdog Millionaire yet but it’s on my to-do list. In the meantime, Anil Kapoor, who starred in the Oscar winning film has been cast to star as a series regular in the next season of 24. Fox announced the news today, also posting a few details about Kapoor’s character.

When Kapoor joins the eighth season of 24 he’ll be playing a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the U.S. on a peacemaking mission. Kapoor’s name might be somewhat unfamiliar to us but he’s no stranger to the acting business. A Bollywood icon, Kapoor has more than 100 credits to his name and is considered one of India’s most prominent actors.

With the success of Slumdog Millionaire, it’s no surprise that we’re already seeing one of the film’s stars hitting the mainstream circuit here in the U.S..
