So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Premieres May 21

So You Think You Can Dance is one of the reasons why you can’t say there’s nothing good on TV during the summer. This dance competition showcases some of the amazing talent from America’s undiscovered young dancers as they compete against each other, performing a wide variety of dance styles. The people who make it onto this show are good (really good) and the competition is usually pretty fierce.

Fox announced the premiere dates for season 5 of SYTYCD. The show will kick off its fifth season with a two-night, four hour season premiere on Thursday, May 21st (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, May 27th (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox. Host extraordinaire Cat Deeley will return to keep the show moving along while Nigel Lythgoe and Mary “woooo!!!!” Murphy will be back at the judges table to throw their opinions out there and then sit back to let America decide which contestants stay and which ones go.

There are currently auditions happening for SYTYCD. Dancers can show off their moves for judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy in Denver on Tuesday, March 12; in Memphis on Monday, March 16; and in Seattle on Saturday, March 28th. For more details on the auditions, check outhttp://www.fox.com/dance.
