Sons Of Anarchy Season 6 Trailer Teases Tension And Violence

The previously released teaser for the upcoming sixth season of Sons of Anarchy hinted that tension among the ranks of SAMCRO was in store. Ok, "hint" is putting it mildly. The slow-mo promo showed expressions of rage on the faces of the featured characters as they pummeled each other, reminding us that this family is on the verge of collapse, with more than one character in prison and those on the outside not faring much better. The new sneak peek for the series, which comes to us via Yahoo, takes a much more literal approach to showing us just how bad things are going to get as the series moves forward.

So what does the preview offer? Well, it doesn't look like things are going so well for Tara and Clay, both of whom are in prison. Clay's getting used and Tara's being intimidated. We know Tara's tough, but she looks like she's reaching her breaking point. Meanwhile, it looks like Chibs took a swing at Juice, possibly for turning on Clay, or maybe for some yet-to-be-revealed conflict. One of Jax and Tara's sons is asking when Mommy's coming home, which prompts Jax to exchange a look with Gemma. And it looks like there's some altercation involving Jax and Nero (Jimmy Smits). Most importantly, Jax knows that his club has been cut in half. Will he be able to pull the club back together or are things destined to implode? The latter half of the promo teases a flood of violence and suspense as the series resumes.

With the Season 6 premiere of Sons of Anarchy set to air on September 10 at 10:00 p.m., a bit ahead of the flood of fall premieres, timing seems about right for us to start to see some actual footage from the series, and the above preview does not disappoint. Tension and violence are on the menu, that's for sure. While we wait for the FX series to return, we also have the DVD set for Season 5 to look forward to. That one's set to go on August 27.

For those who haven't seen it, here's the "Brawl" teaser…

And here's a snippet from Comic-Con, which features series creator and showrunner Kurt Sutter talking about the possibilities of casualties in Season 6 and whether or not there's time to bring the story to its full conclusion.
