Spartacus War Of The Damned 'Separate Paths' Clip Shows Spartacus And Crixus Disagreeing... Again

Notice Starz worked a promo for Da Vinci's Demons in at the end of the clip. I can't say I blame the pay cable network for trying to make the most of its Spartacus audience while the series is still around. Of course, the tacked on promo to the end of the clip isn't quite as disruptive as, say, placing gaps between new episodes of Spartacus in an effort to pair the show's finale with the premiere of David S. Goyer's new series. We get a new episode of Spartacus tomorrow night, but fans of the excellent historical fantasy series will have to wait two weeks for the next episode after that, as March 29 is set up as another "catch up night."

As to the nature of this latest clip, it looks like Spartacus and Crixus are disagreeing again. What else is new? But on the bright side, it looks like they're actually talking about it this time, instead of fighting or smashing things across each others' faces. Crixus' eagerness to trounce the Romans may be just the amount of fuel Spartacus needs to push forward. Or that's me trying to take an optimistic approach to their increasingly frequent spats. Spartacus is far less emotional and far more tactical than his gladiator brother. His thirst for vengeance was quenched last season, allowing him to push forward with a mind on victory and beating his enemy through strategy as much as through brute force.

There are just three episodes left of Spartacus: War of the Damned, after which we'll say goodbye to this excellent cast of characters. However, fans of Crixus - or Manu Bennett, rather - will be able to find Bennett on the CW's Arrow, the actor who plays a recurring role in the series' current season is set to return as a regular in Season 2.

Spartacus: War of the Damned airs Fridays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Starz.
