Star Trek's Remastered Ultimate Computer Airs This Weekend

Star Trek is truly the mother of all sci-fi series. This weekend a remastered version of the Star Trek episode called “The Ultimate Computer” is set to premiere in syndication nationwide.

The episode, which originally aired in 1968 involves an experimental computer that is used to take the place of the crew of the Starship Enterprise. The Enterprise is then tested against other starships in some war games but eventually, the computer develops a mind of it’s own (as is often the case with super-computers in sci fi stories) and starts hunting down starships.

The episode stars William Shatner as Captain Kirk and Leonard Nemoy as Mr. Spock. DeForest Kelley plays Dr. Mccoy and William Marshall plays the role of the computer scientist, Dr. Richard Daystrom.

CBS Paramount Television is syndicating the remastered episode this weekend so Trekkies, be sure to check your local listings to see when and where it’s airing in your area!
