Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse has spent its entire run collecting the diaspora from Battlestar Galactica’s departure, what with Tahmoh Penikett as a series lead and Jamie Barber and Michael Hogan both set to appear in season two. But BSG isn’t the only show Dollhouse’s casting director has been watching, since it was previously reported that former Terminator, Whedon alum, and fanboy dream girl Summer Glau would also show up this year. Now Entertainment Weekly brings a small hint as to the nature of Glau’s role.
According to EW’s Jennifer Armstrong, Glau will be playing a character named Bennett, “a Dollhouse employee who shares a past with Eliza Dushku’s Echo.” It’s not much, but it’s more than we knew before, and any excuse to keep Summer Glau on my TV screen is something I strongly support. Between her, all the BSG folks, and ex-Wesley/Mr. Willow Alexis Denisof, the parade of familiar genre faces can only get better if they bring in Terry O’Quinn. Seriously, check out that guy’s resume – he’s been in everything. |
