Quite a few supermodels try to branch into acting, but not a lot of them are successful, and I don’t think I need to look any further than Gisele Bündchen’s performance in Taxi to make that point. The newest supermodel-turned-actress is Karolina Kurkova, who is set to join CBS’ Person of Interest in a guest-starring role.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel will appear in one episode of the hit CBS drama, where she will play none other than herself—clearly a challenging role. Probably that joke was a little harsh, as Kurkova will have to do some actual acting in the series. A little background knowledge on Person of Interest will inform you that people run into trouble each week on the show and Kurkova will be no exception. Currently, we don’t have any details on why the model is in trouble, but THR is reporting her number will be pulled by The Machine.
Only time will tell if Kurkova actually has any talent for acting, but the good news is that she does have a little experience to back her up. A couple of years ago the 28-year-old guest starred in an episode of Chuck and she also appeared in the TV series Fact Checkers Unit. At the very least, Kurkova is higher profile than a good number of the random characters that pop up in the series, and she has our attention. The model’s episode is expected to air sometime in 2013.
