Mike and Piper wake up from their night of lovemaking, but, hmmm, it doesn’t exactly measure up to their expectations. “It was pretty awful,” Piper tells Delinda. “On a scale of one to ten, it was a three. And I just can’t live with a three!” Neither can Mike. So they decide to make it more spontaneous and agree to meet later in the laundry room later. Bingo! Have I mentioned these two have great chemistry?
And speaking of bingo, Sam gets stuck looking after a whale’s grandma who loves to play bingo. It’s Lynette’s neighbor on Desperate Housewives – Mrs. McCluskey. Only of course, she’s a different character here. Anyway, “life sucks, except for bingo,” she tells Sam. Then gets ticked when Sam wins, so they bring in Delinda as a mediator to watch them both play. The grandma wins and then falls over dead. This story really didn’t do much for me.
Mike convinces Danny to do a dry-run to the hospital, to prepare for when Delinda has the baby. But taking Delinda wouldn’t be good, so instead they take Polly, the casino masseuse, who takes the whole thing a little too seriously, including bringing her own water balloon, so her “water can break.” But the crew gets pulled over for speeding, and Polly ends up in the slammer working on hookers’ nails and stuff.
Cooper’s story this week involves horse-racing, including one guy (Terry Bradshaw) who seems to be extremely lucky. Turns out he’s working with a bunch of country-western people – as in, older people dressed in poofy skirts and stuff – who tip him off on the winner, because the casino has a feed delay of about 60 seconds.
It’s semi-interesting on how casino security figures out what’s going on with that. And seeing Sam and Delinda play bingo with the oldsters was fun. Overall, though, this episode didn’t really grab me like some of the others. Next week is a two-hour ep that looks like loads of fun.
