The Clicker Geeks Out Over The New Battlestar Season 4 Teaser

Do you believe in miracles? A week ago my inner geek was deep in slumber. It’s been in hibernation since sometime in April – a couple of weeks after the final episode of the third season of Battlestar Galactica aired. And then, last Monday, it was woken up rather suddenly when my Sci Fi contact sent me an email chock full of BSG goodness. I am of course, referring to this teaser. Until I saw that promo I thought I was ok with waiting until next year for the fourth and final season to premiere but now I cant help it – I’m totally geeking out!

It’s amazing how a 45-second video clip could get so many people talking. I tried not to obsess over it but I couldn’t help myself. One of the things I noticed was the abundance of violence. People are attacking each other left and right! While Baltar appears to be healing people and Starbuck is off hugging Lee and having a heart-to-heart with Anders, everyone else seems at each other’s throats.

Here are a few screenshots from the teaser and some obvious questions most of us are probably asking:



Obvious question: Who is Roslin shooting? She’s very flinchy, which makes sense as she doesn’t normally go around shooting people. Very intriguing…




Obvious question: Why is Tigh pointing a gun at Adama? Is it all part of his final-five-cylon programming? Or is it a conscious choice? Did Adama make a call that Tigh disagreed with? Usually he just goes off and drinks his feelings away. (I did notice a bottle of booze in the locker where he got the gun so maybe he was drunk.)




Obvious question: Adama looks pissed! Is that Six he’s attacking?




Obvious question (I think): Who is this chick? The scene where she’s running from some explosion goes by really fast and this is the clearest shot I was able to grab. Is it a major character and I’m just not recognizing her? Is it a minor character that I’ve completely forgotten about? Or is it some new character and I’m not supposed to know who she is? I don’t know but if you do, please feel free to comment.




Obvious question: What the frak does that mean?! Whose destiny? Of all of the things we saw in this short teaser, this little clue is really what’s got me drooling for the new season to begin. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait at least a few months for that to happen. I think I’ll be happy when we find out the exact date of the season premiere (and whether or not the full season will air next year or if the rumors about a split-season are true). In the meantime, my inner geek will hopefully be somewhat satiated by the big “Razor” episode that’s set to premiere next month. For some clips from that, click here.

Life is Wild (The CW) 8:00 pm
Ubuntu - (New!) School starts, which means Katie and Jesse have to make new friends and see if they can learn to play by the rules. Meanwhile, Danny tries to figure out what's wrong with some sick animals. Family friendly dramas are a dying breed so if you want this one to last, you have to watch!

Desperate Housewives (ABC) 9:00 pm
The Game - (New!) Bree gossips about the stuff she heard at the Mayfair house and Susan throws a charades party.




Chuck (NBC) 8:00 pm
Chuck Versus the Wookie (New!) – One of Sarah’s colleagues visits and she, Sarah and Chuck join forces for a mission involving a diamond and some terrorists.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:00 pm
Little Boys (New!) – Robin dates a single-dad and gets close with his son. This causes her to think maybe the relationship is getting to serious.

Heroes (NBC) 9:00 pm
Kindred (season premiere!) – Matt asks Molly to find the man that’s haunting her dreams. Bennet starts to suspect that Claire has a boyfriend and Micah finds out that his cousin has powers of her own.

Journeyman (NBC) 10:00 pm
The Year of the Rabbit (New!) – Dan follows a woman in 1998 who cofounded a software company. Also, he admits to his wife about seeing Livia during his time-travels.



Reaper (CW) 9:00 pm
Magic (new!) – Sam has to capture an escaped soul who’s now an evil magician. He also tries to score a date with Andi and find out if he’s allowed vacation time from his soul-capturing job.



Pushing Daisies (ABC) 8:00 pm
The Fun in Funeral (New!) – Ned investigates a death in a funeral home and Chuck tries to reinvigorate her aunts.

Kid Nation (CBS) 8:00 pm
Viva La Revolucion! (New!) – The kids learn that they are allowed to elect a new town council. The current council campaigns for reelection. Anyone else think Taylor’s a goner?

Bionic Woman (NBC) 9:00 pm
Faceoff (new!) – Jaime goes to Paraguay to rescue an American doctor and learns about her life expectancy.

Dirty Sexy Money (ABC) 10:00 pm
The Chiavennasca (new!) – Lisa and Nick take a trip to Italy but their vacation is spoiled when Karen and Freddy decide to come along. Tripp questions whether or not Letitia’s children are his after learning that she was unfaithful.

Creative Writing (New!) – Earl takes a creative writing class in prison which inspires everyone to write stories.

The Collection (New!) – Steve Buscemi guest stars as a private detective hired by Jack to protect his deep dark secrets.

Grin and Bear It (New!) – James Van Der Beek guest stars as an advertiser that gives Daniel some problems. Alexis returns to work but has trouble acting ladylike. Amanda looks for her biological father.

The Office (NBC) 9:00 pm
Money (New!) Jim and Pam stay at the Schrute Family Farm which has been turned into a bed and breakfast (good god.) and Michael hits his staffers up for money in an effort to deal with his debt problem.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) 9:00 pm
The Heart of the Matter (New!) Adele brings in her sick niece (the one who had the hospital-prom in season 2) for treatment. Derek gives Cristina some help in being a better teacher to her interns and Izzie confesses her feelings for George to one of her friends.




Friday Night Lights(NBC) 9:00 p.m.
Are You Ready For Friday Night? (New!) Smash and Matt cant put their differences aside during the first game of the season. Jason deals with his options with regards to his paralysis and Riggins finds support in an unusual place.

Moonlight (CBS) 9:00 p.m.
Fever (New!) Mick gets injured in the desert and cant heal himself due to the sunlight (which depletes his powers). It’s up to Beth to save him.

Men in Trees (ABC) 10:00 p.m.
Chemical Reactions (New!) Marin gets lost in the woods, Lynn wants Jack to be more passionate towards her and Patrick wants to change his last name.



Happy Feet (HBO) 8:00 p.m.
This is an adorable animated movie about a penguin that loves to dance. My only complaint is that it’s surprisingly long for a cartoon movie.
