In anticipation of tomorrow night’s episode of Glee, Fox and Columbia Records have released three songs on itunes that will be featured during the episode titled “Mattress.” Also, we have two video clips from the episode, one of which features Finn and Rachel singing a cover of “Smile.”
In addition to the cover of Lily Allen’s “Smile,” iTunes has the Glee Club’s covers of Van Halen’s “Jump” and one of my favorite songs of all time, Charlie Chaplin’s “Smile.” Fans can purchase and download the songs if they don’t want to wait until Wednesday night to see them performed during the episode.
As history’s said to be told by the winners and the Glee Club members are treated like the ultimate losers, it’s no surprise that they’re being ousted from the yearbook. But given past events involving the club and year book photos, that might not be such a bad thing. Below is Fox’s description for the episode titled “Mattress” and further down are a couple of video clips.
“In this week’s all-new episode, airing Wednesday, Dec. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, the Glee Club is left out of the yearbook because of budget cuts, and everyone seems to be relieved that they won’t have to suffer the ridicule of years past. Everyone except RACHEL (Lea Michele), that is, who wants her legacy cemented in print. Meanwhile, QUINN (Dianna Agron) makes it her mission to be in the Cheerios yearbook photo, and WILL (Matthew Morrison) and TERRI’s (Jessalyn Gilsig) relationship is shaken to its core.”
