It’s time to drop a little truth about TV Blend. We do in fact wander from our corner of the cyber world to seek adventure. One of our favorite spots when not writing about the CW’s failure or Dominic Monaghan’s departure from ‘Lost’ is Television Without Pity. Why do we bring this up now? What could possibly be the reason TV Blend is interested in supporting TWOP? This week marks the beginning of The Great Farscape Rewatch at Television Without Pity. It’s an opportunity to hearken back to the golden days of our collective geekout with ‘Farscape.’
The event begins on May 28th where forum users will watch the premiere episode of the series and spend the week discussing it. Each week will follow with a new episode, and while it’s not officially back on the air we geeks can enjoy the show as it once was. It’s also a great opportunity for new viewers to join in. Spoilers for future episodes are to be marked, because even the most restrained of us will let things slip out. So, please feel free to join in the event and get yourself caught up on ‘Farscape’ with your fellow Internet television-viewing gurus. Or a bunch of dudes who like science fiction.
‘Farscape,’ produced by the Jim Henson Company, follows present day astronaut John Crichton (Ben Browder) as he travels through a wormhole to a distant part of the galaxy. When there he takes up with some escaped prisoners and gets caught in conflicts between planets. The show was cut short, ending on a cliffhanger. But the journey over four seasons is some of the better television to be produced in recent years.
