The Vampire Diaries Video: More Vamps

I guess we knew that Damon and Stefan weren't the only other vampires out there in The Vampire Diaries. Now we'll get to meet another one, in the form of the beautiful Arielle Kebbel (Gilmore Girls, Grounded for Life). Kebbel is scheduled to appear as Lexie, a 350-year old vampire who arrives to wish Stefan a happy 162nd birthday.

The episode, appropriately titled "162 Candles," airs tonight. Kebbel is only on board for this one episode, but I think its safe to say that one night's all she'll need to stir up trouble between Elena and Stefan. Plus, I'm sure she and Damon have some history of their own.

I'm hoping we'll gain some insight into the vampire society that has to exist in The Vampire Diaries reality. Could they really be completely unorganized? I suspect that Damon and Stefan are somewhat "off the grid" right now, hanging out in their old hometown. Plus, I think the series could use some added depth to their backstory.
