With the success of the new Incredible Hulk movie, I’m sure many of you have wondered where did the villain, played by Tim Roth, come from? I seem to remember he’s been in something before… Oh yes, he won an Oscar for his role in Rob Roy. But, after his turn as the Bellhop in Four Rooms and the evil Thade in Planet of the Apes, he kind of disappeared. At least it seemed that way to me.
Well, he’s back, and not just at the box office. He has four movies in production or pre-production, but the big news these days is that he’s going to try his hand at a television series. Reuters is reporting that he will be the star in a new Fox series, Lie to Me.
According to Reuters, Tim ”will play the lead role, a cutting-edge researcher in the field of "deception detection." Ah, deception detection. So, he can tell when people are lying. The show is a drama, and though Roth does have quite the comedic timing, I am sure he will do an excellent job.
