Touch Season 2 Premieres Friday Night: Watch The New Promo

Fox will bring Touch back tomorrow night for its second season with two back-to-back episodes (or one two-hour premiere), which returns to the complex, exciting and emotional story of a father whose attempts to understand and communicate with his mathematically gifted son lead him to see patterns and connections between his child and the numbers on which he's fixated. The series will cross the country from New York, where Season 1 took place, to Los Angeles for Season 2.

Created by Tim Kring, Touch stars Kiefer Sutherland as Martin Bohm, a widower and single father raising his son Jake (David Mazouz). The boy doesn't speak and doesn't like to be touched, but in the first season, Martin begins to learn that his son can communicate through numbers and can see patterns between them that connect people and events. Throughout the first season, we saw various characters' stories play out in different parts of the world, and connect in what might seem like random or coincidental ways, though they're actually tied together through the numbers. Martin is intent on trying to understand what his son's gift means, but the investigation proves to be a dangerous one, which leads us to Season 2.

This season, Martin and Jake cross the country to Los Angeles where they meet Lucy (Maria Bello), a mother looking for her daughter, who's a mathematical genius. The promo below reminds us that the 2-hour premiere is just a day away and that there are some exciting moments ahead.

The adventure resumes, and things are about to get even more dangerous, it seems, as Martin and Jake continue on their journey, which ties in with Lucy and her missing daughter, not to mention a global conspiracy. There's also the threat of a religious zealot who's assassinating other people with abilities like Jake's. In addition to Bello, joining the cast this season are Lukas Haas (24), Said Taghmaoui (G.I. Joe: THe Rise of the Cobra) and Saxon Sharbino. And, as the trailer above indicates, Kiefer Sutherland will occasionally yell "Jake!"

Touch Season 2 premieres Friday, February 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox.
