Two New Roles Cast For Desperate Housewives

Last month news broke that Sopranos star Drea DeMatteo would be joining the cast of Desperate Housewives when the series resumes next season. At the time, it was unknown who would be playing DeMatteo’s spouse when the new family moved in on Wisteria Lane.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has made it’s casting choice for the landscape designer who moves in from New York with his sexy wife and son son. Playing opposite DeMatteo is Jeffrey Nordling. Fans of 24 might remember Nordling from his role as Larry Moss in Day 7 of the series. He was also in Dirt and if you want to look back even further in his career, Providence and Once and Again..

Playing the son is Beau Mirchoff (Heartland, Scary Movie 4). The Reporter describes Mirchoff’s character as tightly wound, sexy and intense. It should be interesting to see how this new family fits in among the suburbanites of Wisteria Lane when Desperate Housewives returns this fall.
