USA 2012 Summer Premiere Dates Include Returns Of Burn Notice, White Collar And Covert Affairs

USA knows how to do summer right for television. Over the last few years, the network has slowly but steadily built up a solid collection of original series, which almost makes us forget to miss Monk. The network released the premiere dates for new and returning summer series. Check them out ahead to see when your favorites are coming back!

While USA says summer “officially kicks off” with the return of Royal Pains this June, I started the list with the premiere of Common Law, as I’m especially excited about the debut of this much-anticipated buddy-cop dramedy. Technically, the start of the Michael Ealy/Warren Kole starring drama falls closer to spring, but the Friday night series will run over into the start of the summer season.

?As you’ll see by the list below, things don’t really begin to heat up until June, when Royal Pains, Necessary Roughness, Burn Notice, and Suits return.

Common Law (Series Premiere) - Friday, May 11 at 10/9c

Royal Pains (Season 4) - Wednesday, June 6 at 9/8c.

Necessary Roughness (Season 2) - Wednesday, June 6 at 10/9c.

Burn Notice (Season 6) - Thursday, June 14 at 9/8c.

Suits (Season 2) - Thursday, June 14 at 10/9c.

White Collar (Season 4) - Tuesday, July 10 at 9/8c.

Covert Affairs (Season 3) - Tuesday, July 10 at 10/9c

Political Animals (Series premiere) - Sundays in July.

No specific date was mentioned for Political Animals, though I’m wondering if USA will aim for the Sunday before or after July 4th (which falls on a Wednesday this year), or if they’re looking to push the premiere off to later in the month. In related news, two more were added to the 6-episode series, which stars Sigourney Weaver and Carla Gugino.
