USA Premiere Updates: Facing Kate, White Collar, Psych, Burn Notice And Royal Pains

With summer on its way out and the fall season ready to roll in, it’s time for TV watchers to get their ducks in a row as far as the fall schedule goes. If you’re a fan of USA’s shows, we have some updates on the fate of Psych, Burn Notice, Royal Pains, White Collar and the new series Facing Kate.

USA is set to premiere their new show Facing Kate, which stars Sarah Shahi (Life, The L Word) in January 2011. In the information USA released on the series (below), they don’t really mention the mood of the series in terms of whether it’ll lean toward funny or dramatic. Given that most of USA’s shows dabble a bit in both genres, I’d say Facing Kate will probably be a little of both but we’ll have to wait until there are some promos to know for sure. In the meantime, here’s what Facing Kate is about:

FACING KATE centers on Kate Reed (Shahi), a top litigator frustrated with the endless bureaucracy and daily injustices she witnesses, who turns on the system to become the ultimate anti-lawyer: a mediator. Using her knowledge of the law, along with her savvy, intuition and a whatever-it-takes approach to resolving conflict, Kate finds the middle ground for a wide variety of adversaries -- from Fortune 500 corporations to bitter divorces. After the death of her father, she finds herself at odds with the new boss, her stepmother Lauren Reed (Virginia Williams)...and in bed with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Justin Patrick (Michael Trucco), a top gun in the DA’s office. Helping her keep all of this chaos at bay is her trusted, geek-chic assistant Leonardo (Baron Vaughn). FACING KATE was created and is written and executive produced by Michael Sardo. Steve Stark also serves as executive producer and the series comes from Universal Cable Productions.

And now the updates on the other shows…

Psych will return with new episodes on Wednesday, November 10th at 10/9c. Also keep an eye out for the special “It’s a Wonderful Life” holiday episode that will air on Wednesday, December 15, 9/8c.

Burn Notice is also set to return in November. The spy-thriller will be back with new episodes on Thursday, November 11th at 10/9c.

Joining Facing Kate’s premiere in January, is the return of Royal Pains and White Collar. USA didn’t release the official premiere dates but it seems likely they will once Midseason 2011 gets a bit closer.
