Amid all the tweets about Lady Gaga hatching from an egg and The Arcade Fire pulling off a surprise win for Album of the Year, there was chatter online after last night's Grammy Awards about Los Angeles reporter Serene Branson, whose post-Grammys segment went terribly wrong when she suffered, well, something out of the ordinary in her brain. According to The LA Times she was examined by paramedics afterwards and sent home with a friend, and has reported this morning that she feels fine. With that happy ending in mind check out the disturbing video below, and below that some theories about what might have happened to her.

Early rumors were both that Branson had suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital, which her network KCBS has denied. The theory floated by Badass Digest is that Branson was struck with aphasia, a neurological phenomenon in which a person suddenly loses their ability with language; sometimes it's a matter of no longer being able to understand words, but in Branson's it may have been a sudden inability to form words.

Even though Branson is reportedly OK, it's still scary stuff, and even scarier to happen on live TV. Here's hoping she's truly recovered.
