The X Factor Rescheduled Due To Baseball Rain Delay
If you tried to watch The X Factor tonight, there's a good chance you saw baseball or some random Fox programming. When I tuned in, I saw baseball, then later caught part of the pilot episode of Ben and Kate before finally switching over to ABC for some regularly-scheduled comedy. Fox's programming switcheroo was the result of a rain delay that shifted their scheduled back. But rest assured, the episode that was supposed to air tonight will air next week.
This seems kind of familiar. In fact, baseball bumped The X Factor last year too. This time around, it was the rain that shifted the schedule. The episode that was supposed to air tonight (Wednesday night) will air next Tuesday.
Due to tonight’s rain delay of Game #3 of the National League Championship Series, the highly anticipated conclusion of the “Judges’ Homes” round of THE X FACTOR will air in its entirety on Tuesday, Oct. 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The competition kicks into high gear on Tuesday, when the judges reveal which four acts in each of the four categories – Teens, Young Adults, Groups and Over 25s – continue and which two acts are eliminated.
Fox has baseball on the schedule for Thursday night, so don't be surprised if you tune in looking for The X Factor and find Game #4 instead.
Fox says everything is on track beyond the bumped episode, and the first live episode will still air Thursday, November 1 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed) and Sunday, November 4 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET life-PT tape-delayed). The live episodes will feature the singing competitions new hosts. Fox revealed this week that Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez are locked in to host the series in its second season, taking over for Steve Jones.
