Fans of the BBC’s latest incarnation of the Hooded Man take heed: the third season hits BBC America on September 12th. I haven’t been following this latest televised incarnation of the men in tights (I’ll stick with the Michael Praed version, thank you kindly), but apparently last season saw the Merry Men shipping off to the Holy Land and the death of Marian. Props to the writers for thinking outside the box of tradition, at the very least.
Starring Jonas Armstrong as Robin, this season of the show will introduce everybody’s favorite friar (David Harewood as Tuck), return the outlaws to Sherwood, and throw Robin into a confrontation with Marian’s murderer. Robin Hood’s third season premieres Saturday, September 12th, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on BBC America. If you haven’t seen the show, it’s your chance to get your Robin Hood fix until Ridley Scott’s big-screen Russell Crowe version finally shows up, and you’re less likely to get a telephone thrown at you.
