Zac Efron Hosts Saturday Night Live This Week

Zac Efron is super dreamy, but is he funny? It looks like we’re about to find out as NBC announced today that the star of Hairspray and the High School Musical trilogy is set to host an episode of Saturday Night Live this Saturday night! This will be Efron’s first time hosting the series and if his career keeps heading in the right direction, it probably won’t be his last.

Efron’s latest film 17 Again opens in theaters on April 17th but fans will get to see him on Saturday Night Live on April 11th. I wonder if they’ll spoof HSM in Efron’s honor. Here’s a random thing about Efron that I only just learned after scanning his IMDB page. Efron played “Young Simon” in an episode of Firefly.

The musical guest this week is Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who will be performing from their newest album It’s Blitz!.

Saturday Night Live airs on Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
