Zod Lands In Smallville Next Season Zod is coming to Smallville next season as the CW announces that Brit Calllum Blue has joined the series as a regular in the iconic role of Superman’s real hometown nemesis. Of course we already know that Zod has been around town for years as Terence Stamp, who played the character is Superman and Superman II, is the voice of Jor-El on the show. It’s not the same, but if Lana can be Clark’s mom in the modern age then why can’t the general with a killer goatee be his biological father?

I’m done trying to argue with the logic of having all of the characters Superman meets later on in life making a large impact on his young life. I mean, what in the hell are they going to do about Lex and Clark’s close relationship during high school? Or Lois being around for those early days? There is certainly going to be either a lot of kissing or earth reverse rotating going on to get out of all this.

Then again Smallville long ago decided to stop being an interesting new exploration of a classic character and go fo r the CW dramatic fodder.
