The cute, quirky, musically gifted Zooey Deschanel brought her cuteness, quirkiness, and musical talent to Saturday Night Live last night as host of what turned out to be one of the stronger episodes of the season. SNL also had a bit of fun with the Clint Eastwood “Halftime” Super Bowl ad.
It’s always great to see celebrities with a sense of humor about being impersonated on SNL. We saw two examples of that last night, one of which involved host Zooey Deschanel being impersonated by Abby Elliott in a sketch about quirky celebs, and the other came in the form of a guest appearance by Nicolas Cage, who sat next to Andy Samberg’s version of him during "Weekend Update." Speaking of guest appearances, Jean Dujardin (The Artist) popped up in the French sketch. You’ll find those videos below, as well as the Clint Eastwood “Halftime” ads, and Deschanel's opening monologue, which features a musical number in honor of Valentine's Day.
Also below are the fantastic performances by musical duo Karmin, whom some may recognize for their impressive covers, including Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now.”
