After only two episodes have aired, ABC is apparently pleased enough with how Once Upon a Time is doing to give the fantasy-drama series a full season order. Thatís not the only good news for ABC series. Two other shows were also given orders for full seasons.
Entertainment Weekly posted the news, stating that Once Upon a Time, which is averaging 12.3 million viewers and a 4.0 rating (adults 18-49), landed a full-season pickup from ABC. The series, which airs on Sunday nights, follows a group of fairytale characters who have been cursed to live in our reality, banished to a small New England town called Storybrook, where none of them remember who they once were.
Once Upon a Time isnít the only series with good news. Last Man Standing, which airs on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. and stars Tim Allen, also received a full season pickup. Finally, Happy Endings, which is currently in its second season, has also been given a full season. This is especially great news, not only because Happy Endings is regularly hilarious, but also because ABC seemed tentative about moving forward with the show, offering it a script order last month, as opposed to a full season order.
As EW points out, thereís still no news on whether Pan Am will make it through its first season. ABC ordered 5 more scripts but hasnít made a final decision on whether to pick the series up for a full season.
