AMC's The Walking Dead Coughs Up Four New Season 2 TeasersAuthor: Jesse Carp

AMC's The Walking Dead has to be the undeniable breakout hit of last season. I'm not talking about just in terms of its own network but that the horror series became a sort of cultural phenomenon and provided AMC with its biggest ratings numbers yet. All this attention and acclaim in only a six-episode first season, but the second season is on its way and AMC is beginning to tease its return.
The Walking Dead gave the fans their first taste of Season 2 at Comic-Con, and now the footage, like an endless wave of zombies, just keeps on coming. The Season 2 trailer was nothing extravagant, but it definitely gave the viewers what they wanted to see: some good old fashioned zombie killing by our hero, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). It was a pretty decent spot, getting everyone all jazzed up for the inevitable zombie/human (human/human) confrontations that are going to arise in the second season. These new teases are just that, short glimpses that offer much less than the first promo. They're still pretty effective in their 10-second running times, however. One quote, one scare, return date. I would have liked a little more but I also don't mind a slow release until the big show. See for yourself. Boston Herald Full Throttle Don't Make a Sound The Beginning of the End The show's had a bit of a rocky off-season despite all of its success. First, there were mass writer lay-offs after the first season, then showrunner firings and replacements, but hopefully all is sorted for a solid second year. The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 18th, 2011. Back to top
