American Horror Story Season 2 Gets An Adjusted Title

It appears American Horror Story is taking a similar approach to its title as we've seen in series like Spartacus and the latter two seasons of Torchwood, in that it will distinguish itself with a specified subtitle. Given the FX drama series' plan to restart itself in Season 2, with a whole new setting and a new set of characters, that seems as fitting as it is unsurprising. And now that we know AHS will be followed by a colon and a subtitle, we also have the Season 2 title.

Deadline reported the news that the second season of AHS will be titled American Horror Story: Asylum. Considering that Season 2 is said to take place in an institution for the criminally insane, that seems like a fitting title for the new season. And with the nature of the restart for Season 2, it makes sense that they'd attach a subtitle to it, in the way some other series have done in the past. Not only does it describe the setting, but it draws a darker line between the last season and this one.

As previously reported, a number of the cast members from Season 1 of the horror-drama series will return for AHS: Asylum, including Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto and Evan Peters, joining newcomers James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes and Adam Levine.

Speaking of Levine, we recently got a look at the musician/The Voice-judge on the set of the series. He's set to play the male part in a duo of characters described as "the Lovers," but something tells me the face in the photo with him isn't his other half. Check the photo out here.
