What better way to reach out to the people than to stop in at a popular late-night talk show for a chat? That’s what President Barack Obama has planned during his trip to the West Coast next week. He’s set to appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday night.
Entertainment Weekly posted the news, stating that President Obama will be appearing on The Tonight Show to chat with Jay Leno during his trip to the west coast, citing a tweet from the White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer as the source of the information. As EW notes, Obama will be headed across the country to raise money for his re-election bid and promote his jobs bill. In the process, he’ll be making his fourth visit to The Tonight Show, where he and Leno will exchange some banter. It’ll be interesting to see if the two get serious and talk about some of the issues in this country, or if the conversation stays in lighter territory. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on NBC. Here’s a segment from one of Obama’s previous appearances on the show.
