Ben Stiller And Anna Faris Set To Host Saturday Night Live In October

While Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Lady Antebellum are set entertain us this Saturday night on Saturday Night Live, NBC has two more actors set to return to the sketch comedy series in the weeks that follow, each of whom has been seen on the series before.

Hosting the October 8th episode is Ben Stiller, whose work back in the late eighties includes time served on SNL as a writer and featured performer. Stiller’s less known for that as he is for what came later, including his own show on MTV and numerous successful films (Meet the Parents, The Cable Guy, Tropic Thunder among them). Foster the People will serve as the musical guests, marking their first performance on the show.

Meanwhile, Anna Faris, who hosted SNL’s third episode of its 34th season, will host the fourth episode of Season 37 on October 15th. The actress has What’s Your Number coming to theaters and a host of other comedic films on her CV. Her stile of humor should lend itself well to the style of humor on Saturday Night Live. Faris shines in roles that have her playing a flaky, clueless sort of girl with varying degrees of superficiality. I expect that’ll be put to good use when she appears on SNL. Drake will serve as the musical guest for the episode.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
