The Veto competition took place this evening in the Big Brother house. For those of you who don't want to wait until Wednesday night to see who won it, we have the results here. This article contains spoilers from the live feeds of Big Brother, including the winner of the Head of Household competition, the nominations, and the winner of the Veto.
As we reported previously, Ian won HoH and nominated Jenn and Frank. As for who one the Veto... ![]() It sounds like the houseguests' may have been right in their predictions that this week's Veto was the OTEV competition. After the feeds came back on, we saw that Dan was wearing the Veto. Danielle said something to Dan about being able to find "Danielle" but not "Janelle." Usually, the OTEV comp has houseguests scrambling around the yard trying to find items with houseguests' names on them and delivering them to whatever form OTEV has taken in response to whatever riddle he's given them. Last person to the mat each round is eliminated. I haven't heard anyone say for sure that it was OTEV, but Danielle's comments make me think there's a good chance it was. Whatever it was, the houseguests were all dirty when it was over. And it sounds like it was a close finish (possibly between Dan and Frank). Dan paced the HoH room while Ian was in the shower and made some comments to himself about "coming back to life" and this being the week that they finally get Frank out. So we know who his target is. Now comes the question of whether or not Dan will use the Veto. There as a mention of a final two deal between Ian and Dan tonight (Dan said something to Ian about him not telling anyone about it), but I didn't see the actual conversation that solidified this. It may have happened before the feeds came back on. Dan and Ian had a talk after the competition about weighing their options. It sounds like they're both in agreement about getting Frank out this week, since they now have the opportunity to do it. Frank's been nominated numerous times, but there've been two times when Frank's been on the block during the live show. The first time was when Kara went, and the second was the reset, which pretty much saved him. He's won three Vetos. This may be the only chance they have left to get him out... barring any miracle twists. It doesn't sound like Dan will use the Veto on Frank (though anything could happen). The next option is for him to use it on Jenn. Not only would that be a nice act of gratitude for her using it on Dan, but he might win some points with her, in case she wins the next Head of Household. If Jenn comes off, Joe would probably go up. Ian might not want to do that, as it would create an enemy out of Joe. But Ian raised an interesting idea, that Dan could use the Veto, pretending it's against Ian's wishes, and Ian would have to put Joe up because he's the only available option (since he promised Shane that he and Danielle were safe). That may be the best way for Dan and Ian to avoid making bigger targets out of themselves. At this point, with so few people in the house, every move counts, as does every competition win. It should be interesting to see what happens between now and the Veto ceremony, that's for sure. The houseguests continue to talk about the possibility of another fast-forward. So they suspect the next double eviction is coming, but don't know for sure (as we do) that it's Thursday night. Back to top
