Boardwalk Empire Season 3, Episode 3 - Bone For Tuna
Most of the second season of HBO's Boardwalk Empire so far has been a slow set-up. Sure, that's not an unusual thing for a series only two episodes into the new year but the prohibition set drama usually contains fireworks in almost every installment. Not to say there hasn't been blood spilled or tension filled confrontations but it feels like we're waiting for the real spark to ignite the main conflict between Nucky and newcomer Gyp Rosetti as well as bring the various other players like Lucky and Lansky violently back into the fold.
Well, it looks like the slow burn is over because if there is one thing that the preview for "Bone For Tuna" doesn't seem to lack, it's fiery showdowns. Here's the teaser for Season 3, Episode 3 of Boardwalk Empire...
I'd say that was a pretty promising preview, with Rosetti making things personal not to mention the boys from New York mixing it up. I wonder who's the lucky one getting doused in gasoline and then burned alive? Or who's on the receiving end of that bullet from Meyer Lanksy? It's great to see him, Lucky and a young Bugsy Siegel back in on the action this week. Oh, and lastly (firstly?), it seems like Margaret won the battle to get Mr. Thompson to go to the church and accept his commendation in person. She still has some pull over the man hopelessly in love with a showgirl.
Boardwalk Empire returns with Episode 3, "Bone For Tuna," Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. Created by Terence Winter, it stars Steve Buscemi, Kelly Macdonald, Michael Shannon, Shea Whigham, Vincent Piazza and Michael Stuhlbarg.
