CBS 2011 Summer Schedule: Premiere Dates For Big Brother And New Celebrity Series Same NameAuthor: Kelly West

CBS unveiled their summer schedule, which includes the 65th Annual Tony Awards, the return of the Julie Chen hosted reality series Big Brother, and the premiere of a new unscripted series involving celebrities called Same Name.
Julie Chen will return to host the competitive reality series Big Brother, which premieres its thirteenth season on Thursday, July 7th. The series will air three nights a week as usual (Sundays, Wednesdays and the live eviction show airing Thursdays). Big Brother is an elimination competition series that features a group of people locked in a house and competing against one another to avoid eviction each week. Unfortunately, no additional details about the format of the show, the theme or any additional twists were mentioned in CBS’ announcement today. Same Name is set to premiere on Sunday, July 24th and will feature celebrities as they trade places with strangers who happen to have the same name. As for the upcoming award shows, Neil Patrick Harris will help celebrate the current talent on Broadway as he hosts the Tony Awards on June 12th.
