Comic Con: BSG Composer Bear McCreary Will Score The Walking Dead

Normally television doesn’t pay much attention to a show’s soundtrack. If a show even has a score, it’s rare anyone ever notices it. Unless of course, that score is composed by Bear McCreary.

McCreary was the man behind Battlestar Galactica’s consistently breathtaking, mood-altering music. Season after season his amazing score propelled BSG through the cosmos and lifted nearly every scene of the show to an entirely new level. And now he’s taking his talent to the world of zombies.

AMC just announced at Comic Con that McCreary is composing the score for their new series The Walking Dead. The series follows a police officer shepherding a group of survivors to safety after a zombie apocalypse. Like BSG it’s an epic, desperate journey to survive and we know McCreary can do that.
