Comic Fans Correct Conan After He Mixes Up The Hulk And The ThingAuthor: Kelly West

Each Monday night on Conan, host Conan O’Brien airs a segment called Fan Corrections, in which he shows a video of a viewer who noticed a mistake in a previously aired episode. They’re usually pretty funny, especially because Conan always manages to find some ridiculous way to prove the fan wrong.
Fan Corrections comes a close second to Conan’s Video Blog among my favorite featured segments on the show, though the wigged puppy versions of Conan and Andy that they’ve been featuring recently are pretty adorable. The best fan-submitted correction videos are the ones when the featured person is especially smug about their discovery. It plays into the spirit of the whole thing and usually gets a better reaction from Conan. Last night’s episode had an especially funny Fan Corrections segment as apparently many comic fans submitted similar videos after Conan mistook The Thing for The Hulk when referencing the Fantastic Four. Even I know the difference between those two, although I think I may have described The Thing as “That rock guy” so maybe I don’t have as much geek-cred as I’d like to claim. Anyway, check out the video below to see how all of the submitted videos were compiled, and how Conan attempted to side-step admission to the error. It’s pretty funny... The cage full of hungry jock-types was a nice touch. Conan airs weeknights at 11:00 p.m. ET on TBS. |
