Conan Goes Monty Python For His New TBS Promo

The newest promo for Conan O’Brien’s new TBS show is, well, weird. Maybe it reflects the increased amount of creative freedom he’s likely to have with the network. Or maybe it’s simply his way of telling us he’s really, really, into classic Python. The promo, which you can see embedded below, looks an awful lot like some of the animation created by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python’s Flying Circus in the seventies and the subsequent Python movies. Is Conan going to open his new show with the Dead Parrot sketch? Or maybe the Spanish Inquisition? No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!
