Skyfall star Daniel Craig hosted last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, giving the NBC sketch comedy series the opportunity to have a little Bond fun. But before that, the episode began by poking fun at the Presidential debate in the cold open. And speaking of debates, Big Bird paid a visit to Weekend Update! Check out the highlights from last night's SNL ahead!
Last night's episode of SNL featured James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, along with musical guest Muse. You'll find most of the sketches below including the debate cold open, which I think is Jay Pharoah's best impersonation of Omaba yet. And with Pharaoh playing the president, that frees up Fred Armisen to play more female roles. He's had a fair amount of experience with that on Portlandia, but they seem to be doing that a bit more cross-dressing on SNL these days. Not only did he play Penny Marshall in the "Lesser Known Bond Girls" sketch last night, but he was also the female in the "loving couple" sketch, which seemed a bit similar to the Daughter sketch, when Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosted (of course, in that one, JGL was the woman, but the sketch did take place in the living room set).
While I didn't love the "Loving Couple" sketch, one of the better moments of the night was Seth Meyer's "Winners and Losers" segment during Weekend Update, in which he rehashed some of the victories and defeats that occurred based on the debate. "Winners and Losers" was a winner.
But don't take my word for it! Watch the videos below and decide for yourself what worked and what didn't.
