Dexter Season 7 Premiere Photos Show Dexter In A Major Predicament

Another day passes and we're one day closer to the return of Dexter and finding out how the Showtime series' leading serial killer will get out of the predicament he found himself in when the drama's sixth season wrapped up last year. The first two minutes of the seventh season premiere were revealed to us at Comic Con (and online) already. And if you've seen that video, these pictures really don't give a whole lot away, but there is one interesting shot worth checking out. Moderate spoilers ahead (especially if you're not caught up on Season 6!)

The two-minute sneak peek at Season 7 showed Dexter awkwardly trying to come up with some fast excuses as to why he just killed Travis in a ritualistic sort of way on an alter in a church, while Deb stood staring, demanding answers with her fund drawn. the photos below appear to be from that scene, with two creepy looking shots of Dexter standing over Travis' (Colin Hanks) body, and another of Deb with her gun on Dexter…







But this one offers a clue as to what might happen next. Dexter has a match lit. Is he about to set fire to something? Perhaps a pile of evidence?



Deb seems to be standing back, watching. Is she willing to go along with whatever Dexter's telling her?

One of the screenshots we grabbed from a previously released teaser shows Dexter and Deb standing behind an open flame. I'm going to guess that what the above photo shoes is the moments just before that.
