Encore's Big 80's Weekend Starts Christmas Day

This Christmas, Encore will kick off their annual “Big ‘80’s Weekend,” which consists of numerous classic films from the ‘80’s. And who better to host such an event than the great Cyndi Lauper?

Encore’s “Big ‘80’s Weekend” will be hosted by '80's musical icon Cyndi Lauper and includes the TV premiere of Don’t You Forget About Me. Below is information about that and further down is the full schedule for the weekend, which includes Hughes’ The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Weird Science.

Included in this event is the World Television premiere of Don’t You Forget About Me, a poignant search for Director John Hughes (shot a year before his untimely death) by a group of young filmmakers. The engaging documentary includes appearances by Kevin Smith, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Andrew McCarthy, Alan Ruck, Kelly LeBrock, Justin Henry, Roger Ebert, Jason Reitman, and Richard Roeper. Don’t You Forget About Me premieres December 25 at 6:40 p.m. and repeats on December 26 at 3:00 p.m.
