Family Guy Spin-Off In The Works

Family Guy is hands down the funniest cartoon on tv since the early days of The Simpsons. Okay, not the early days, the mid-90s. And short of news of a movie, I’ve got the next best thing. The powers that be have decided to do a spin-off on that beloved sidekick – Cleveland.

At this point, the title of the show is Cleveland, and no one seems to know much about the show, except that it revolves around Cleveland’s family. Last time I checked, Cleveland was divorced (after Loretta slept with Quagmire) and it’s just Cleveland and Cleveland Jr. in the house, so it will be interesting how they plan to make it a weekly show. But, they have a seriously creative team, so I am sure it will work.

Cleveland’s character is a slow-talking, level-headed guy who seems to not mind that his creators are always making him play off of african-american stereotypes. Oh wait, he doesn’t get much say in it, does he?
