Itís time to air the grievances. Itís time for feats of strength. Itís time to put up your pole, discard all of that distracting tinsel and celebrate a good old-fashioned non-holiday without the burden of commercialism. Thatís right, itís a Festivus for the rest of us! Seinfeld fans rejoice by revisiting the story of of Festivus.
Festivus was first introduced to us in 1997 when it was revealed on Seinfeld that Georgeís father Frank invented his own holiday after a dispute in a store over a doll Frank was trying to buy for George. The doll was destroyed, ďbut out of that, a new holiday was born. A Festivus for the rest of us!Ē The ďholidayĒ is acknowledged on December 23rd, which is today! So donít hesitate to air your grievances, engage in ďFeats of StrengthĒ and gather around the Festivus pole.
