Hail to the Chief: Cameron Daddo is stepping up to the Oval Office on Nikita. The actor who once played the vice president on the seventh season of 24 will play the President in the CW’s drama, and is set to be at the center of a major plot line that will play out as the President and Division face off in a serious way.
The actor you have likely seen in a few different roles has signed on for a big role as the Commander-in-Chief himself, TVLine reports. There had already been some buzz regarding the planned appearance of the President in upcoming episodes, but casting was still up in the air. Daddo, who is actually Australian, will return to the White House as the top dog after his brief arc on 24 as veep back in 2009. It sounds like a very serious threat is being brought against the Prez by Division (which he, of course, has never even heard of), one that will up the ante big time in the upcoming episodes. Cameron Daddo will make his first appearance on Episode 22, as the second season heads to its conclusion. There hasn’t been an announcement yet on the potential renewal of Nikita for season three, but it’s expected to happen sometime in May, so hang in there, fans. Daddo has recently appeared on a number of series, including Leverage, Rizzoli & Isles, and The Mentalist. His first appearance on Nikita is slated to air on May 11th. Back to top
