Niecy Nash, better known as Deputy Rainessha Williams, is about to start a new pilot for Fox. It's a remake of an old 70's PBS show set in New York City. With Niecy in it, how could it be bad?

The new show is titled The Inn, is loosely based on Upstairs/Downstairs, and is written by Arrested Development's executive story editor Abraham Higginbotham.

For insight into the possible plot, TV Guide describes the original with this synopsis:

“The intertwining lives of the wealthy Bellamy family and its servants in Edwardian England unfold in several editions of this 1970s series, perhaps the most popular and praised to ever air on PBS's `Masterpiece Theatre.' Created by Jean Marsh (who won an Outstanding Actress Emmy as the downstairs maid Rose) and Eileen Atkins, the series spans the tumultuous first decades of the 20th century and the shifting fortunes of complex and colorful characters, some more privileged than others.“

Niecy's comic genius is readily apparent on her regular showReno 911, where she is the only female African American deputy. Her character is famous around the Reno County Sheriff's Department for the size of her rear end, and for having several children, all with different fathers. Niecy rocks her booty and is proud of her assets. She is awesome, and I for one can't wait to see this new show.
