FX Renews The League For Season 4
FX’s series The League pulled off another win for itself. The comedy series is currently in its third season and word is, fans can look forward to even more as the cable network has picked the series up for Season 4.
On the surface, The League could probably be categorized as a sports-comedy, however the series is more about a group of old friends who are attempting to be grown-ups and whose lives happen to be tied together by their mutual love of fantasy football and the the league they’re all a part of. The cast includes Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer and Mark Duplass, and the series has featured guest appearances by known athletes and sports personalities, including Terry Bradshaw, Chad Ochocinco, and Josh Cribbs. As much as the sport is utilized within the show, a love (or even an understanding) of football is not required to enjoy The League.
There are three more episodes left to Season 3, with the next one set to air this Thursday night (10:30 p.m.), after which the show will go on hiatus, however it’s been confirmed to return for Season 4. According to Deadline, FX has given The League a 13-episode order for Season 4.
The League airs after It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Thursday nights. For those of you who didn’t catch the news last August, FX has already renewed Sunny for two more seasons.
