Despite his more recent TV roles, there’s always going to be some part of me that associates Greg Grunberg with his roles in Felicity and Alias. Both series had two other things in common, besides Grunberg: Jennifer Garner, and J.J. Abrams. Garner only appeared in a few episodes of Felicity, but she was reunited with Grunberg and series creator J.J. Abrams in Alias. Now it’s looking like there’s a chance that two of these three people will be teamed up again for another TV project.

According to Deadline, Grunberg has signed a talent holding deal with Warner Bros Television, which will have him starring in a comedy or drama for the studio, possibly as soon as next season. As Deadline notes, Warner Bros is where J.J. Abrams is set up, which was a factor for Grunberg’s deal.

Abrams’ production company Bad Robot is set to make a pilot for NBC, written by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, called Revolution. Little is known about the project, other than that it’s described as an “epic adventure thriller.” Could this be the project in which Grunberg ends up starring? Or will it be something else? Either way, it would be good news if this deal resulted in Grunberg teaming up with Abrams in some form or another, as his parts in Alias and Felicity were arguably his best roles, though I suspect Heroes fans will disagree with me there...
