Grimm Season 2 First Look Video Features Conflict, Fighting And Weapons

Judging by this excellent first-look video for the second season of Grimm, Nick's going to have his hands full. There appears to be no shortage of drama ahead for the homicide detective, who also happens to be the descendent in a line of guardians tasked to protect humanity against storybook-like baddies.

When the series premiered last year, Detective Nick Burkhardt had only just learned his destiny as a "Grimm." But, much in the way the series began to settle into an exciting and entertaining groove as the first season progressed, so too did Nick come to figure out how to balance his secret role as a Grimm with his work as a detective and personal life, including his relationship with his girlfriend Juliette. From the video NBC released below in anticipation of Monday's second season premiere, it seems like Nick's busier than ever juggling business, personal and supernatural, with Juliette in a coma, his partner Hank having witnessed a glimpse of Nick's world, and Nick's mother Kelly (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) - presumed to be dead - returning.



Nick's methods as a Grimm are probably a bit unorthodox by comparison to other Grimms. He's been taking a sort of learn-as-you-go approach to Grimming (do we call it Grimming?). So it's exciting to see his mother's reaction to Nick's friendship with Monroe and Bree, both of whom should technically be his enemies. It also looks like there's a lot of fighting in store for Season 2, and new weapons!

Fans of the series will definitely want to check out the interactive eBook (that's more like an app) that NBC has released. It's free, though it's only compatible with Apple's eBook app. It's full of videos, photos and information about the series.
