Happy Endings: The Complete Second Season Debuting On DVD In October

I was initially a little put out when Happy Endings snuck through to produce a second season, forcing Damon Wayans Jr. to lose his position on Fox’s breakthrough comedy New Girl. As it turns out, I later had to swallow my words. This is because I did not catch Happy Endings during it’s first season. ABC’s friendship-based comedy is clever and filled with humor relating to pop culture, and if you were as silly as me during the show’s initial season, you will soon be able to catch up on Season 2.

Happy Endings: The Complete Second Season starts out with a honeymoon. It’s a perfect setting for a season opener to really re-introduce us to the characters and their relationships. It won’t be too long before fans can revisit plotlines like these in all their DVD glory. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the The Complete Second Season on DVD on October 2.



There will be no Blu-Ray release, and the extras on the set look a little slim. In fact, bonus features will only include deleted scenes and outtakes. If we are being honest, however, Happy Endings was never the type of show encouraging rampant fanboy-dom and hours and hours of bonus features. It’s the sort of comedy that is forever letting its characters grow and change, but never takes itself too seriously. In a nutshell, it’s the type of show that is ideal for revisiting when we are in the mood to laugh. The 30% off price over at Amazon certainly should help anyone bummed about the lack of extras, as well.
