Morgan Spurlock's shot at making experiment documentaries as television didn't really go anywhere when 30 Days kind of came and went without notice on FX. But the format remains intriguing-- follow one person doing something different and crazy with their life in each episode-- and now Jack Black, among others, thinks he can turn it into a hit. Deadline reports that Black's company Electric Dynamite is teaming up with Reveille to produce a TV series based on My Life As An Experiment, A.J.. Jacobs' book that's pretty much exactly what it sounds like.

In the book Jacob spends 10 months doing all kinds of stunts, from living life briefly as a woman to outsourcing his entire life to India. The series will take more of a fictional approach, though it's hard to imagine how they'll create a show around a guy who does all this crazy stuff without the intention of writing a book about it. They're currently looking for a writer to adapt the book, and while the idea certainly has some potential, he or she definitely has their work cut out for them.
