Jimmy Kimmel's one of the best hosts at skewering current events, especially when it comes to the entertainment industry. While the old guard - David Letterman and Jay Leno - are happy to repackage old jokes on the old medium, Kimmel (as well as Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert) not only has a writing staff with their fingers right on the cultural pulse, but he has also really taken advantage of the internet as a distribution platform (and made a bunch of money in the process). Meaning, even though you missed last night's broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC you don't miss the best gags, like him making fun of the new extreme musical chairs show at The CW.
When we first covered The CW's plans to make the musical chairs inspired game show Oh Sit!, David made the joke that perhaps we'd soon see extreme television versions of other favorite childhood games. He even offered a suggestion to the vacuum of ideas that is the entertainment industry with a pitch for Extreme Hide and Go Seek!. Taking up where he left off, Jimmy Kimmel Live decided to make a trailer for their own game show which is set to air after Oh Shit!. It's called Duck You!.
Kimmel starts by making sure we've all heard of the ridiculous new show Oh Sit! - even throwing out the network's second choice for the title, Total Crock of Sit - before premiering the trailer for the 'show' that will follow it. The show is based on another of our beloved childhood pastimes but this isn't your mom and dad's "Duck, Duck, Goose" this is Duck You!. "Don't tase me bro!"
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs every night at 12 a.m. ET on ABC. You can also keep up with his best gags and guests on his YouTube channel.
